The Beginning of Everything Again
In 2020 I began focusing on painting, drawing and image-making again. This exhibition brought together a selection of the work made since, and traced how each body of work grew out of the last.

Friendly Futures
Enharmonic, Gradient Collapse and On To The Unknown are the first paintings in Friendly Futures, a new figurative series. More paintings are planned and in progress, and I'll share a fuller introduction to the series online in the coming weeks.

Neon Abstracts
These paintings are intentionally not of things but about something. Making them, I wanted to force myself to stay in the moment, responding to each colour, mark and indelible decision as it happened. The journey to a finished composition is written into its surface: each painting telling the visual story of its own creation.
The titles belong to that process. Each is formed from the initials of a phrase that kept returning while I worked: a memory, a place, a thought I couldn't shake. They meant something to me in the studio, but they aren't clues to be solved. Once finished, a painting stands on its own, and what you bring to it matters as much as anything I put there.
